La Marca Hispánica accepts scholarly essays written in Spanish, Portuguese or English relating to Hispanic or Luso-Brazilian literature, linguistics, translation or pedagogy. Other related subjects may be eligible depending on relevance and quality and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All submissions must be saved as a Word document, typed, double-spaced, and formatted in accordance with the latest edition of the appropriate style manual (MLA for literature, APA for linguistics, etc.). They should be submitted with a cover sheet containing the author’s name, e-mail address, telephone number, and the title of the submission. The author’s name should not appear anywhere on the manuscript itself, since all entries will be subject to blind review. All submissions will be considered for the following awards: the Gonzalo Rojas Literature Award, the Orlando Alba Linguistics Award, and the Robert Alan Meredith Pedagogy Award.
